Welcome to Our Site!
We are excited to use this website to share with family, friends, and anyone else who is interested, about the triumphs, trials, and tribulations of our family adventure beginning July 2019 and ending June 2020 AND our Homeschool Pod endeavor for the 2020-21 school year.
OUR ADVENTURE LAST YEAR – Through blog posts and gallery photos, we shared all about leaving our permanent home in our suburban “bubble” community in Northern California to experience living in a surf town, a city, and a ski town this year.
Homeschooling our upper elementary and middle school boys for the first time made our adventure possible, and we’re continuing it with a few friends in a small 5th grade pod during the 2020-21 school year.
Our itinerary 2019-2020 was:
- Late Summer 2019 – Oceanside, CA
- Late Fall 2019 – Manhattan, NY
- Winter 2019-20 – Tahoe City, CA
- Spring 2020 – Oceanside, CA
We promise to keep it real here. While personal Facebook and Instagram pages can make life seem perfect, cheery, and like a dream come true, this site is about all of that and more. We’re committed to keeping you in touch with what it’s really like, whether it’s picture perfect or messy, both literally and figuratively, as we reflect upon our experiences getting outside of our comfort zones, new learning, etc. We hope you’ll enjoy the ride with us on this journey!
